09/29 Legs B Cycle 2
Warmup:
Jog 0.5 miles
Dynamic stretching as usual
DL 135x10; 225x8; 275x6; 315x4
Working Sets:
DL 335x4x10
These felt pretty good, writing this the day after, I feel very good, barely sore at all. On set 1 Frank noticed that I start with my butt really low, then slowly bring them up to roughly normal levels. I'm not entirely sure if I am pulling while doing this, or if this is just some preliminary movement I've gotten in the habit of doing. I recorded set 1 and set 7 and they look quite similar, save for minor rounding on last rep of set 7. Rene watched set 9, which might have been best set of the workout and noticed my hip position was higher and gave an overall stamp of approval.
Final note: When I do multiple reps, I have a tendency to get over the weight as opposed to being behind it, after the first rep. I'm not sure if this is because I was sliding the bar down on my thighs because the desk lady told me to stop dropping the weight, but this needs to be fixed.
Barbell Lunge 155x4x10 (each leg)
Interesting moment when I completely lost balance on set 3, left leg, causing bar/weights/3 minstrels and a percussion section to come crashing down behind me. Attempted to run and hide behind Danny only to realize that Danny is no longer here.
09/28 Conditioning Day
Intervals for 1.5 miles
Static Stretching of hamstrings, glutes, quads, groin
Hanging Windshield Wiper BWx12x3
Kneeling Ab Roller BWx16x3
Clean 45x24; 65x12x2
Leg Press 2 plates (either side)x24x2
After spending all day sunday on the couch watching football. Literally: wakeup @ noon, eat, watch game 1 (seahawks @ bears 1 PM - 4 PM) while sitting up, watch game 2 (saints @ bills 4 PM - 7 PM) while lying down, get up to eat again, watch game 3 (colts @ cardinals 8 PM - 11 PM) combination of sitting/lying down...etc...
Point being: basically didn't move the whole day. Tuesday was going to be deadlift day, so I basically wanted to loosen everything up, re-acclimate my body to movement. Everything listed took about...45 minutes or so.

ReplyDelete-- "... the desk lady told me to stop dropping the weight, but this needs to be fixed": When I arrived to the US, people suggested not to use "it" and "this" very often, because they lead to double meanings. So, maybe write next time: "... the desk lady ... but she needs to be fixed".
better?
ReplyDelete-- No, not better, it's exactly the same: "but THIS (instead of SHE) needs to be fixed".
ReplyDelete-- According to another (independent) survey, none of the blog readers are totally blind. The perfect font size is the one Gordon uses.
