JC (08/25)- Intensity

Snatch-
45x3, 115x3, 135x2, 155x1
Easy
Edit- Whoops. I lied. I remember I tried 155 twice. The first time I didn't make the lift because my left shoulder gave out and something kinda popped. I'm ok, but the shoulder does feel a bit weird. I should be focusing on technique anyways. :(

Power Clean and Jerk
135x3, 175-4x2, 185x2
Easy

Front squat-
45x5, 135x5, 185x4, 225x3
Work set-
255x3
285x2
315x1 (15lb PR)
Was a pretty easy PR. Finally hit 3 plates:)

Some ab work.

JC- Snatch, Front Squats

Hey Guys,
I haven't posted in a while. Been training with Mike Nackoul- super strong and a great guy.

Snatch High Pull-
50 kilosx5
70 kilosx3
At this point, I felt like going for a snatch PR.
Snatch-
70 kilosx1
75 kilosx1 (3 kilo PR)
80 kilosx3xFAIL
With each attempt, I was just worse and worse. I wanted to give it one more shot. After some rest, Mike told me to clear my mind, and just pull.
80 kilosx1 (8 kilo PR)
Content after nailing it on the fourth try. Goal is to have a minimum of 90 kilos by the end of April.

11 Front Squat pyramid-
90 kilos- 5x5
100 kilos- 1x3
110 kilos- 2x3
120 kilos- 2x2
120 kilos- 1x1
According to Mike, the last set is more of a "mental set"- giving it your best even after a draining session (he ended with 170 kilos, or 375 lbs o_O). I'm super pumped.

Also, Mike and I are planning on setting up a legit weightlifting club here at MIT (olympic weightlifting and powerlifting too, and we could set up base at the duPONT gym, where apparently more platforms are being built). We feel MIT has untapped potential. I'll keep you posted.

JC (02/24)- 2xDay Squat

Weight is at 200.5. Currently upping caloric intake- goal is to consume at least ~5000 calories a day.

AM Workout
Back Squat-
135x8
185x6
225- 2x5 These were done as fast/explosive as possible.

PMT Squat-
445- 2x10
445- 1x20
Was pretty tired after back squats, which is why I initially did 2 sets of 10.

PM Workout
~ 6 hours after AM workout
Front squat-
135x10
185x6
230x5
260x2
Only 40 lbs away from a 300 lb front squat :) I should be able to get it before the semester ends.
Also, when Front Squatting 260, I leaned forward after my first rep, making my second rep very difficult to finish. I must remember not to lean forward and keep my back as straight as possible.

Pullups- 3x11

Barbell Rows-
135x3
185- 4x5
Will start upping weight on a regular basis as I see fit.

Floor press- 3x5

Ab Roller- 3x7
