Because my training partner Xiao will go traveling this Thursday, and I will travel next week. So in the past three weeks we were training with pretty high volume, so that we can take that one week as a deload week. Today we measured our maxes on squat and will test our max on bench and deadlift on Wednesday, three of us all had a new PR on squat. I even took a nap before going to the gym, and performed out of my expectation.
squat: 45*5+95*5+135*4+185*3+225*3+275*2+315*2+365*2+405*1
445*1@9 (PR+10)
455*1@9+ (PR+20)
465*1@10 (PR+30)
475*F@10

Xiao squatted 320 (more than 50 pounds higher than 3 weeks ago when he first started squatting), Micheal squatted 345 (40 pounds higher than 3 weeks ago) . Maybe this also due to the fact that we switch from high bar to low bar, which does make a difference.

Monster squat, Sheng. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Frank! I am trying to catch up with you in total for the next meet:)
ReplyDeleteI suspect you'll beat me handily unless I really get my act together, actually. But nonetheless, bring it on.
ReplyDeleteI think you're still head of me in total right now, and I hope I won't lose too much strength during the spring break traveling.
