set the belt too high and it pinched my belly fat (new!) at the bottom. then i decided my elbows hurt too much.
planning on alternating heavy/light on squats now. let's call this the light day.
Deadlift

this one turned the day from feeling like a failure to feeling like a success.
also, eunice pulled 175x1 on her first day deadlifting :P
no squatting or benching today for her though

ReplyDeleteI am now also doing light(focus on speed)/heavy squat each week, I think it works well. On the light squat day, doing heavy deadlift, the light squat is kind of warm up for deadlift. Pretty much similar like what you did today. This leaves enough strength for deadlift.

ReplyDeleteEunice is pretty strong. A 175lb deadlift puts her at least at Intermediate according to EXRX, which isn't a perfect guide, but it's good enough. Your odds of winning the bet look pretty good...
