My legs were pretty non-functional after yesterday's squats, but I managed to slog out a mile on the treadmill. Wanted to do a 2 mile today, but my legs couldn't handle it; I even cut my normal 1/2 mile warmup to 1/4.
I've also noticed that though my stamina is way down, I still have pretty good leg speed at 10mph. So, hopefully, getting back down to a 6min mile won't be as much work as it was before.

ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of things about you, man, but I have yet to meet you. I'm very into Oly, and have tried (but failed miserably) to have some kind of Oly training regiment. I realize there is a Oly Club at Excel Sports & Fitness (I went there ONE time, and it was freaking awesome), but its just a pain to get there considering I have no mode of transportation, besides taking the bus that is. I'd be great if I can meet you bro.
JC, I've heard about you also. We should make a gym date within the next week.
ReplyDeleteLifting has taken a back seat to some of the other aspects of my life for the past 6 months or so, so I've been in the gym at strange times and have, generally, fallen out of a good regiment.
I haven't had a chance to see what's goin on at Excel, but it sounds like a good opportunity to get some proper coaching (I'm certainly in need).
My only immediate advice on an oly regiment is stay away from the powerlifters! :-). They've already taken Frank, and I'm sure they're gunning for you also.
What times/days do you usually show up to the gym?
So I typically go on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, but I think I'm changing that to Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Let me know when is the next time you're going to the gym, and I'll just meet up with you there!
