If I didn't use straps, I had some pretty severe finger pain around 185. W/ straps on it wasn't much of a problem at all - which really surprised me. I doubt I'll be able to deadlift without straps for many many months, but I'm glad that it's not a problem with them.

Ran 5 miles after the gym. Biked 4 miles home.

Not yet sure what I'm going to do next week when the Z is closed.

  1. Straps basically take your grip out of the equation. When I use straps, sometimes I'm barely even holding on to the bar.

    I'm going to try lifting at the alumni gym (below the Stata center, apparently), which should be open.
