Back Squat
187.5 kgs (413.4 lbs): 3 whites
197.5 kgs (435.4 lbs): 2 whites
I was called for depth by one judge. This one was a pretty big struggle, so I decreased my originally-planned bump for the third attempt.
202.5 kgs (446.4 lbs): 3 reds
Not even close.
Bench Press
127.5 kgs (281.1 lbs): 3 whites
135 kgs (297.6 lbs): 3 reds
They had a pretty long pause, and I failed this off the chest.
135 kgs (297.6 lbs): 3 reds
Same.
Deadlift
250 kgs (551.1 lbs): 3 whites
265 kgs (584.2 lbs): 3 whites
280 kgs (617.3 lbs): 3 whites
I wasn't feeling that great going into deadlifts, so I decreased my bumps a little, but this ended up just decreasing my final attempt by 2.5 kgs. Not a big deal.
My total ended up being 197.5 + 127.5 + 280 = 605 kgs (1333.8 lbs). This was good enough to get best lifter at the meet (though they only had 20 lifters or so total). It was a little lower than what I had hoped to total (at least match my gym total of 1350ish), but I did manage to set two meet PRs. I also set a meet total PR, which was my primary goal. I didn't match or beat any gym PRs, but I guess that just means that I'll have something to aim for the next time around.
Keone had a great first meet and set some PRs, and a total 900, despite his strange squat form and still-damaged elbows. Deirdre struggled a bit with (what I think was) over-strict judging on squats and bench but managed to pull through on deadlifts. Sheng did extremely well and hit all of his goals, totaling a little above 1300.

Nice work.
ReplyDelete617? Hot damn. Didn't you pull 611 during the last meet?
ReplyDeleteNice lifting, as always, Frank! ^^
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. @Chris: Yes, it's only ~5lbs more than I pulled last meet, but I blame that on not being in great shape for this meet. I'll do better next time :).
