JC (9/14)- Intensity

Push press-

225x1 (20lb PR)

Close grip bench (about 2 inches narrower on both sides)

315x3, last two reps had assistance
Decided to add these for more tricep isolation. Felt awkward at first, but got hang of it.

Squat-

Man, 340 felt really heavy. Lower back is killing me (remnants of continuous squatting and heavy squat hold). Stopped after this. Hopefully tomorrow's squat session will be better.

Dumbbell bicep curl @ 35- 3x8

  1. Congrats on the push-press PR. Based on your bench press max, I think you are worth way more than 225. Anyway, how long is this intensity block / cycle been going on? Aren't you wiped out by now?

  2. Thanks Danny! From what I can tell, I've been doing intensity since 08/02, when I was still doing RSP. I do feel a constant sense of fatigue (especially now that I have a cold), but I'm trying to be able to lift heavy even when fatigued. From what I can tell this is the philosophy of Average Broz gym. I like to try out different training regiments for myself and see if they fit me or not.
