Frank (6/16): Sheiko CMS/MS Comp, Week 1, Day 3

My erectors, from my neck to my lower back, were crazy sore. It made everything difficult. I was contemplating just deloading and restarting this Sheiko cycle on Sunday, but decided to go for it anyway.

Squat
5x45, 5x135, 5x185
3x230, 3x275, 3x325, 3x325
2x370 @ 9
2x370 @ 9
2x370 @ 10
2x370 @ 10
2x370 @ 10
2x370 @ 10
These got progressively worse. By the end, my erectors were really killing me.

Bench
10x45, 10x95
3x150, 3x180, 3x210, 3x210
3x240 @ 8
3x240 @ 8
3x240 @ 8
3x240 @ 8+
3x240 @ 8+
3x240 @ 8+

Dumbbell Fly: 5x10 @ 35

Squat
Pass. Too sore.

Good Morning: 5x10 @ 135
Pullup: 2x10
Dumbbell Curl: 2x6 @ 50

Kind of a bummer of a workout. I'm not sure why my back was so sore. It was probably a combination of being sloppy on the 440s and trying (and failing) to pull 570 twice.

But then again, there's always this. Enter "181" and "Raw," and it turns out that I'm currently the #26 ranked deadlifter in the US (my other lifts need work). Woo hoo. I anticipate that I will swiftly fall off the charts once more people get filled in, but just being ranked nationally in anything (athletically, anyway) amuses me immensely.

  3. Hah, yeah, the first reaction I had upon seeing some of the 181 records was "I can do that!" Of course, progress will slow down dramatically as I approach them, so who knows if it's at all possible.
