07/26 Shanker 5 Sets Method Upper 1

Weight in morning: 179
Before Workout: 182
After Workout: 184

Bench Press
Elbow felt funky so instead of going for 225x5 went for 240x2 with moderately pleasing results.
45x10
95x10
135x8
155x6
185x5
225x3

240x2
240x2
240x2
240x2
240x1

Standing Military
45x10
65x10
95x6
115x4
135x2

145x2
145x2
145x3 (felt easy)
155x2
155x1

DB Rows (no straps....grip is improving since I found an exacto knife capable of replacing my leatherman. callouses be damned)
Done alternating R and L, but will list by hand for sake of simplicity

R:
145x16
145x16
145x16
145x16

L:
145x7, 9
145x15
145x5, 11
145x5, 5, 4, 2

yes, clearly left hand is lagging, but rowing 145x16 is freaking hard, regardless. So I'm pleased.

core stuff.

  1. How does one get rid of calluses bro? I'm slowly building up my rowing strength, but I'm already feeling my calluses acting up.

  2. you sliced them off with a knife/nail cutter. Just make sure you dont cut too deep, that's never fun, but it's a learning process.

  4. What do you mean by "calluses"? Rough and dry skin at the top of your palm (just below fingers)? If this is the case, then you are supposed to have calluses, and these should NOT be cut / sliced / whatever. To prevent calluses from tearing ...
    1. use chalk.
    2. use hand-cream after post-workout shower.
This is important also to prevent skin cuts between your fingers.
