Frank (3/9): Starting Strength, Medium

Back Squat

First set was at depth. Second set was a little high, but felt really easy because of it. Third set was at or below, but felt a little tough. I think one of the problems I have with squats is that when I go low, my knees come forward a little, taking stress off of my relatively strong posterior chain. I need to work on sitting back far enough. Also, even though the videos look fine, I feel some stress on my lower back. I must remember to keep a good arch and keep my chest up.

I should also mention that my right adductor felt a little strained after the second warmup, but it wasn't enough to bother me on my work sets. I'll monitor it carefully over the next few days. I think that squatting wide is hitting them pretty hard, which is good, but I don't want to injure anything.

Elbows were a little twingy, but nothing I couldn't handle. There was no resultant, weakness, at least.

I wanted to do barbell rows, but all of the platforms were taken. Boo.
