Frank (1/28): RTS Volume, Bench

Bench Press
4x240 @ 9, TNG
4x240 @ 10, Paused
4x240 @ 9, TNG
4x240 @ 9.5, TNG
4x240 @ 9.5, TNG
4x240 @ 10, TNG
TNG = touch and go. Pause = competition-valid pause. I tried going with a pause on the second set, but that was brutal. I at least managed to hit all of my reps this time. Woo hoo.

Dumbbell Bench
5x100 @ 10
5x90 @ 10
4x90 @ 10
5x80 @ 10
5x80 @ 10
Very strange. I think what happened here may get to the core of what's been going wrong with my bench. The first few reps of each set were very easy, as I had expected, but on the fourth rep of every set, all of the pressing muscles on my right side failed. It was very strange; I could feel the weakness "rippling" from my shoulder to my hand, if that makes any sense. Sometimes I could grind out the fourth and fifth reps. Sometimes I couldn't. I am thinking that maybe my body is trying to prevent me from injuring myself. That, or my upper-body muscular endurance has disappeared entirely. I need to think more about this.

Cable Row: 4x8@200
Military Press: 8, 8, 6, 4 @ 135
Same as above. I hit the fourth rep, then bam, muscle failure (on the two last sets only this time, thankfully).
