Very awkward trying to my maneuver myself around in the gym with a leg that has a splint...
Bench press-
145x5
205x5
225x5
275- 6x2
Probably the shortest workout ever. Didn't really want to push my luck, as the chick at the front desk wasn't even going to allow me to work out, so I called it quits. Also, didn't want to screw around with leg too much.

I sprained my ankle this March. You might want to take a look at what I did in the interim.
ReplyDeleteSo it seems like you took it pretty easy the workout following the sprained ankle, and then had some time off from any kind of lifting. My problem is that with this cast/splint on I'm not even supposed to (rather, can't)put any kind of pressure on my left heel...
ReplyDeleteThese things happen. In the meanwhile, you can do some light upper body stuff. Also, after the cast is taken off, start very gradually with any exercise that involves keeping your heels on the floor. I'm following the same advice with my elbow injury. There is no pain, but still, this week I'm pressing and squatting 60kg, and not doing DLs at all.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
