These were actually hard after the 2nd set. Fatigue.

On another note- my lifting partner got 265 5x5 on bench. I'm very proud of the progress he's made in such a short amount of time, and its all because of Starting Strength. Just to put it in perspective, started off at 185 around mid-August and was struggling to complete the 5 sets.

ReplyDeleteI hope your lifting partner is like 250lbs because otherwise I will be jealous :(.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Starting Strength should be 3x5. 5x5 is OK, but you'll stall out a lot sooner.
