Justin- Football

So aside from the normal circuit-y stuff, we did testing today for squat. Coach said pick a weight you think you can get 3-4 times, but he was going to cut us off at 4. I put 325 on the bar, because I never really progressed after doing 315x5. Anyhow, I smashed it. He cut me off after 4, but it felt like an RPE of -2. Hopefully this means good things to come in the future.

    Romanian deadlifts/stiff-leg deadlifts.
    Pull-throughs.
    Strict box squats (to a lesser degree).
    Hyperextensions.
    Reverse hyperextensions.
    Oly lifts.
    Hamstring curls.
    ... etc.

  3. Hey, just thought I'd throw my two cents in here... Since you're training for football, I'd take a look at The Thinker's (James Smith) stuff at Elitefts and his web site http://www.powerdevelopmentinc.com/

    He's one of a handful of people I'd actually listen to about football training.

  4. Ah, thanks. I visit EFS pretty regularly and had heard of Thinker, but had never gotten around to checking his stuff out. Most of my time goes into reading Wendler's stuff :p
