Frank (10/17): RTS Volume, Squats

Back Squat: 5x5@315 (with Nate's belt) @ 8-9
These felt really good. I'm still surprised at how much of a difference a belt makes when squatting. I'm definitely much more stable at the bottom, and I think I'm finally bracing my core correctly.

Rack Pulls: 5@455, 5@495, 3@495
Rack Pulls with Straps: 2@495, 2x5@495 @ 9-10

Nate said the 455 looked too easy, and it did feel that way, so I upped the weight to 495. That was decent, but my ring finger tore after the second rep. Tape didn't quite work, so I used my crappy straps instead. My straps are real crappy. They hurt my wrists. The rack pulls were pretty easy at first but started feeling quite difficult toward the last few sets. I think I was just getting fatigued.

Oly Squats: 4x8@225 @ 7-8
Ugh. Haven't done these in a while. The first set was miserable, since I didn't warm up at all. The rest were fine, but I was pretty wiped.

Ab Wheel Rollout: 3x5

I feel the same way about this workout as the last one: RTS uses way more volume than I'm used too. I may take Nate's suggestion and just nix the third lower body movement on these days, but we'll see.
