Shanker: 5-3-1 Training Max

BP
45x16
95x12
135x8
155x6
185x4
225x3
235x3
245x3 @ 10

This translates exactly to a 270 training max, do I know my own lifts or do I know my own lifts?

core stuffs.

  1. Isn't it redundant to write @10 for the max set in 5-3-1? Why would someone stop if there are more reps left? Also, I know that 5-3-1 comes in various flavors, depending on what you do after the first lift, but I think that the variant where you do nothing is the least productive.

  2. this isn't 5-3-1
this is testing my maxes on a workout by workout basis.

I also did a few sets of rows, but since this isn't part of the program yet I didn't feel it was pertinent to share.

  3. Also I wrote @10 because I was just testing triples as we discussed. I would have stopped at 3 even if it was "@9" then maybe tried 250 for a triple.
