Sets are easiest when my descent is fairly quick and I can get a good stretch reflex, doing this I could probably pop out a set of 5 or 6 reps. However, when I slow it down I hit a pretty significant sticking point a few inches above parallel which causes me to goodmorning the weight. Think it might be time to incorporate hip thrusters as an assistance next block. Advice on the practical nature of setting this up would be appreciated. As much as I love Gordon, I really just don't trust anyone other than myself to put a bar with 2+ plates on my crotch...

I don't really see the need to do hip thrusts either, but if you insist, I would suggest you just grab a bar and either the greens or the 5lb bumpers and fiddle with positioning until you find something that works.
