Hey Chris, how flexible are your hams? I'm working on form, and notice you can go pretty deep on low bar, in chucks. I have trouble hitting depth, and I think its because I'm stiff as hell.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how flexible my hamstrings are, but I can touch my knuckles to the floor with straight knees, if that counts for anything.
ReplyDeleteAnd in my experience: On squats, hamstring flexibility comes with squatting heavy and often, because I couldn't touch my toes before I started SS, and steadfastly refused to do any extra stretches to work on flexibility. I squatted A2G during this time as well, buttwink or no.
But I'm sure there are some flexibility exercises you can do. I think a good one is pulling yourself down into the squat position by grabbing your toes... it's hard to describe so I'll show you the next time I see you.
