Back Squat
5x45, 5x135, 5x185, 5x225, 3x275, 3x315, 1x365, 1x405
1x455
I just said "fuck it" and went straight to 455 since that's been a goal of mine for a while. It was the most ugly squat-round-back-good-morning I've ever done, but I hit depth and got it up. So HAH. I have to learn to keep my chest up on heavy squats.
Fx465
This just went straight down. It wasn't even a slow negative.
Bench Press
5x45, 5x95, 5x135, 3x185, 3x225, 1x275
Fx315
I was hoping for the same miracle, but alas, no go. I stalled about 3" off my chest.
Fx315
Couldn't get it off my chest.
1x295
Fx305
Eh. I guess this is an improvement since I've never gone this heavy with a legit pause before. My elbows started acting up a bit toward the end.
Deadlift
5x135, 5x225, 5x315, 3x365, 3x405, 1x455, 1x495, 1x545, 1x585
Fx635
I never learn. I got it to just above my knees.
Fx625
Barely broke the ground.
I've had better test days, but I'm actually pretty pleased because I hit a long-standing squat goal, and squats are where I always screw up. I'm not worried about being able to pull 600 or more at upcoming meets, though I may choose my attempts a little more wisely in the future.
I'm actually going to be in town until Thursday early afternoon, so I'll likely get in a quick deload session, then start training for real again next Monday.

Congratulations on your PR for squat. And pull 635 above knee is amazing too. I just checked AAU's national record for deadlift, it is 285kg, I think you can break it in the next meet!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. That would be an awesome accomplishment, Frank. You can hit 627!
ReplyDeleteCongrats man! Beast mode.
ReplyDeleteHere's some motivation for your deadlift:
