Bench Press
215x5
215x5
215x4
215x4
215x4
I wonder if perhaps I am overworking my press, given that I also do floor presses and weighted dips (+65) in the same week. Maybe I should get rid of the dips..., thoughts?
DB Row
110x16
110x24
110x37 (r) 110x34(l)
Danny challenged me earlier in the week to row 110 for 50 reps, given he has done it for 100. Failed dramatically...hence title of post. Will keep trying to reach 50 until my dumbbell handle arrives.
Military
125x5
125x4
125x4
125x4
Maybe my body just doesn't like the number 5.

-- I don't see any problem with (some variation of) pressing twice a week, as long as this is reasonably programmed. But it's difficult to follow what you are doing over a course of one week. Can you write the entire plan?
ReplyDelete-- Nice job with the DB rows. And this is without Louie's circa-max cycle for DB rows, or any DE stuff (DB rows against mini bands) ):
Shanker: From where I stand (actually sit as I am sitting and typing) 30+ reps with 110's is pretty good. Maybe the title of your post should be "Shanker is strong and Danny is just a freak of nature..." Of course my next post is going to be entitled "Dave is a lazy, middle aged, fat a**" (much like the late great Flozell Adams...). Its all about perspective.
ReplyDeleteWould it be possible to post your plan and Danny's commentary on the blog so I can "borrow" from it?
You guys have a tendency to exaggerate. Shanker is not weak; I'm stronger, but not a freak of nature; and Dave is probably not lazy (unfortunately don't know him in person).
