JC (03/21)- Deadlift, Military Press, Light Oly

Hey guys,
so I'm in Florida for the next 2 weeks (taking an extra week off :) )

Didn't have access to any bumper plates or platforms, so I had to do with what was available.

Snatch-
Some light warm ups
135x1
Didn't go any heavier because of lack of B plates.

Deadlift-
135x5
225x5
315x3
365x1 (Old PR)
405x1 (40 lb PR)
Finally hit 400+ lbs!Pretty happy about this PR. I guess training for Oly gets me stronger too :)

Military Press-
55x4
105x4
135x4
165x4 (5lb PR)
195x1 (35lb PR)
195x1
205x1 (45 lb PR)
Felt pretty ambitious. I think my form was pretty bad when doing the 205 press- w/e, I'll take it.

Lat Pulldowns-
100x10
150x10
200xbroke the last plate, so had to move to 190
190x3x8

Ab work.

  1. Congratulations on the huge PRs in deadlifts and presses! I still don't understand why, with all this potential, you are interested in OL and not in PL. But I obviously wish you a lot of success in whatever you decide to do.

  2. Yeah, seriously. I knew you had huge potential for strength, but these are pretty sick PRs. Well done.

  3. Also, lat pulldowns? What? Do pullups.

  4. Lat pulldowns or no, you're ridiculous. In the good way of course :)

  5. Thanks everyone! I think that although OL is my focus, that doesn't mean I can't do PL competitions:) Any competition exposure is good exposure IMO. So I've been lifting for about six months- my current goals are to have a 300+ front squat and a 400+ back squat by the end of May at the latest. I appreciate your comments/critiques. Now back to Modern Warfare 2
