Really effing lazy, but want to help get volume of posts up, so just the essentials:
9 week cycle (for explanation see previous posts) based around the following 3 maxes
Squat: 415
Bench: 290
Deadlift: 580
Results from week 9 test week:
Squat: 335x8
Bench: 235x8
Deadlift: 495x6
Maybe this is strong, maybe it isn't, make of it what you will.

ReplyDeleteYknow what I've always wanted to do/see other powerlifters do as well: Livestream training sessions. I have no idea how practical this is at MIT, I have no idea if anyone would actually care (well, other than me) but it's an idea that I haven't seen anywhere before. Just think, if you knew Malanichev's training schedule, wouldn't you tune in every MWF at 8, or whenever he trains, just to see things that you don't get in youtube highlight reels. Also powerlifters are very habitual creatures, so consistency really wouldn't be an issue. Not that I expect to see MIT workouts on Ustream now, but it's an idea.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't a bad idea, especially for people who lack reliable and informed training partners, but we might want to start with something a little easier to implement.
