This was Day #2 of trying to learn to deadlift correctly. Got lots of useful tips from Danny and Nate that I collected in a Word doc. 108lbs felt good, however I was not arching and also felt a little back twist on the last rep. Because of both these facts, I'll stick with two green plates next time and practice form a while...

From what I could see, I thought the deadlifts looked really good, though I agree that it might be best to stay light while working on form and increase the weight slowly every workout.
ReplyDeletePlus, weren't you doing greens + two 10s on each side? That would be 128 (or 108 if it was only one 10). You're stronger than you think you are =).
Veronica -- did you and Shanker take the same calculus course (18.200A: "adding numbers in new and creative ways")?
ReplyDeleteFrank, thanks! Fixed it. 128 is better than I thought. Will keep practicing :)
ReplyDeleteDanny, 18.200A was all full - so we cross-registered at "Clown College" instead..
